Questions to Get to Know Each Other?

Hello,

What personal questions do you ask your counterpart when online dating? I'm not talking about the first date but in a dating platform like this one. What do you type to get to know a woman or a man a little better online? What interesting online dating questions do you ask to fall in love? What do you write/chat/talk about to get to know an attractive person you find nice online?

How personal can the questions be to seem interesting? What questions should I avoid to not come off as foolish or too curious? Can I also ask women intimate questions?

Off the cuff I'd give you these online dating tips: ask the kind of stuff you'd want to know about a mate (job friends work hobbies etc). Avoid tricky topics like past relationships or women in general. Guys can get overwhelmed or put off by that in my experience. And definitely don’t even hint at planning your future together (talking about life goals kids etc). That’s way too intense! Focus on getting to know them with no ulterior motives. Try to get a sense of their personality not their past or future plans. What do they enjoy? What kind of person are they? That shows real interest and lets you both feel each other out. Who knows you might click when you meet in person. Then you can dive into deeper questions on an actual date!

I usually start quite simply with a few normal lines to see if the woman is interested. If I get a message back from her, I usually just write normally, like in real life. The questions tend to arise naturally during the conversation. It just happens that way, or it doesn’t. ;)
