Where can I meet singles for free?
Hey everyone, I'm currently wondering where I can meet singles for free. I mean outside of dating apps or the internet. I’m a bit disappointed with online dating and am looking for ways to meet singles in other ways. While I don’t think dating apps are bad for making contacts, I would really like to meet my next partner in real life again.
What ideas do you have for where I could meet singles? Who has some good tips on where I could go?
Where can you easily meet singles? Try going to a supermarket on the weekend, preferably late at night. As you sneak through the aisles with your shopping cart and encounter women without company, they are often single. I always take a glance at the woman's cart to be sure. If she has only a few items, isn’t in a hurry, and — this is important for me — there are no kids’ items in her cart, then you can approach her. This has worked for me several times, and I’ve always talked to single women — so my success rate is 100%!

That applies to both genders, for both women and men. ;)
Hmm, online dating sites are definitely a great opportunity to meet other singles for free, but real life has its advantages too. You can skip the hassle of texting and avoid the disappointment of finding out that the person is 10 kg heavier, 5 years older, and has fewer hairs than in their profile picture ;) But that’s probably the worst-case scenario, and not everyone experiences that with online dating.
I also prefer to meet people in real life, so here are a few tips from me on how to meet singles:
Where else can you meet singles for free?
- In the supermarket
The classic. Pay attention to the contents of their shopping cart. No diapers and just a pizza? Good chances!
- At a cooking class
So it doesn’t always have to be pizza. Enroll in a cooking class, ideally one specifically for singles.
- At the club
The chances here are pretty good, but encounters tend to be more superficial. Looking for a one-night stand? Go for it.
- On vacation
Sign up for a singles vacation; it’s my secret tip for those who are serious. You’re guaranteed to meet a lot of singles and really get to know each other. I haven’t found my partner for life there yet, but I’ve made many nice contacts during my solo travels!
How about a gym? You can easily meet people there. Maybe your dream guy is also around! Alternatively, you could sign up for a dance class. It's a great way to get closer and meet nice guys or gals.
I can't think of anything else at the moment, but you could also try shopping late in the evening; you're more likely to encounter singles then compared to during the day.
