Experience with Casual Dating Sites?
Hey everyone, who among you has had experience with casual dating sites? Have you ever tried this type of dating? Did you make connections with women? Is it worth it, or is it just a waste of time and money for me as a man? I’d also be interested in hearing the opinions of women on this. Are there any women here who are genuinely signed up on casual dating platforms? Have you ever gone on a date with men from such a site?
I used to be registered on a casual dating site when my ex had just broken up with me, and I wasn't looking for a new serious relationship. So, yes, there really are genuine women on those platforms! However, I have to be honest and say that I wasn't attracted to the messages from the men there. For example, many of them were much too old for me (like twenty years older or more). Also, the messages were too boring/uncreative, and the men were just not attractive to me at all. In the end, I didn't meet anyone for casual sex. I also have to admit that I was only signed up there for fun and wasn't really "seriously" looking for a casual connection. Women like me just don't want only bedroom stories and tend to prefer romance.

Last year, I gathered quite a bit of experience with casual dating platforms. Initially, I received almost no response from the women I reached out to, and when there was some contact, it quickly faded away.
As a result, I revamped my profile to make it a bit more professional. Instead of just a few snapshots from Facebook, I had a friend who is a photographer take some pictures of me in nature. These, along with a few vacation photos, led to a significantly better response.
Nevertheless, I assume that many platforms have a lot of fake profiles. I didn't hear back from many women, even though they initially showed interest using the website's features.
Now, I tend to use singles websites and, especially, apps again because the contact is often a bit more casual, and exchanging phone numbers happens much faster there. Of course, I've met some women through these platforms, but often there are surprises in casual dating just like in "regular" online dating.
All in all, I think casual dating sites are quite alright. I appreciate that this dating option exists. However, I’ve returned to meeting women in person while out at night. Therefore, I only use singles portals and dating platforms as a supplement.
