Hey guys,

I’m really desperate and don’t know what to do anymore.
It’s about my girlfriend — we’ve been together for 1 year. She’s my first real love and my first actual girlfriend.

For weeks now though, she’s been acting really strange and different from how she used to be. Is she cheating on me?

Normally I was allowed to pick up her phone if someone called — especially when she was in the shower, for example. Now her phone is suddenly always gone. Even when we’re cuddling and she’s lying in front of me, she gets up so I can’t see anything while she’s texting. That never used to be a thing, which is why it bothers me — even though I’ve never been the controlling type and still am not.

It really stood out when she started leaving my room for phone calls. Most of the time she’d go out on the balcony so I wouldn’t hear anything. At first I thought maybe she was planning some big surprise for my birthday… but my birthday has already passed and nothing happened. She still keeps going outside for calls and she’s getting called a lot more often. Sometimes even at 1 a.m. — that literally never used to happen.

Before, she would always get upset if we didn’t spend enough time together. The mood would be off, she’d make a scene, etc. Now? She doesn’t seem to care at all. No drama, no complaints — nothing.

All of this is making me really suspicious… is she possibly cheating on me? Does she have someone else on the side?

I don’t have much experience with girls, so I’d really appreciate it if someone could tell me what to make of all this.
