I'm 30, Single and Have One Child. Is It Too Late for Me to Find a Partner?

I've been 30 for a few months now and today I have the feeling again that at just 30 years of age, I belong to the scrap heap. I have had negative thoughts lately and I imagine that I might not find the right partner for life anymore.
I have a baby daughter. She is 4 years old and I absolutely love her. She is my little sunshine :) In the last few years I haven't had too many dates, but one or the other personal meeting has happened. The men I dated were all very nice, and I also got the impression that they think I'm nice and that there is sometimes more interest. In order not to scare off the men, however, I never mentioned anything about my daughter at the beginning (maybe a mistake?) - unless someone asked about it directly, then of course I said frankly and honestly that I am a proud mother.
It may or may not be a coincidence, but I am not imagining it. Every time I told the man that I was a mother and that I had a daughter, the contact always dried up. The men sometimes reacted very differently. Some said they had no problem with it, others even responded positively. But in the end all the men with whom I have dated in the last 3 years, and have also met more than once, always backed off.

So I would like to ask everyone - men, what's wrong with you guys? Is an attractive mother and child so daunting for you? How come?

A child can be a problem for a new relationship. A lot of men who are single just don't want to do this to themselves. Even if they like children, they would prefer to see their own and not someone else's child grow up.
Do you know the apt saying: Birds of a feather flock together! What I mean by that - try specifically with a single dad. After all, there are also a lot of single men these days. So you can grow together into a small blended family. In order to build up a blended family, however, you need a little patience, because your child must first make friends with the new partner and the other child(s). So take some time. Much luck!

If you are looking for a new partner and you already have a child, the search will not be easy. But not only single parents have a hard time finding a new love, even for singles without a child the search for the right life partner is not easy. This is because the interests are often very different. Many singles without children are just looking for a one night stand. So don't be disappointed if it doesn't work out on the first date. Just keep trying and don't put any pressure on yourself. You should also try places such as children's playgrounds, the zoo or children's birthdays, where many singles with children are expected. Then you get into conversation with other single parents, and maybe this will result in one or the other new contact that can become more. In any case, I will keep my fingers crossed that you will be happy again and find the man of your dreams!

The fact that you have registered here is already a big step in the right direction. The selection of men on freshsingle is large. Here you will also find single men who have also left a relationship behind and have to look after a child at least every other weekend - like me, for example;)
It is important that you play with open cards right from the start when you are looking for a partner. Don't try to find a new partner and tell them about your child later. If the partner knows from the start, he can psychologically adjust to the future responsibility. Therefore, when you go on dates, make sure that you are looking for a new partner and not just a father for your child.

Of course it's not too late! Especially not at your age. Many men don't mind if a woman brings a child into the relationship. Since in many cases men are also single parents and usually have problems finding a new partner, single women with children could complement each other wonderfully with their counterparts. Have you ever looked out in this direction and specifically looked for single men with children? It might be worth a try!
Of course, it is important that the children get along with the new partner. Even so, you shouldn't introduce a new partner to your child until you're both really sure. Otherwise, you would make your little one insecure if you confronted her with the new acquaintance immediately after every date.
