That's me

Hello! I will save some of you some time and say that yes, I am a married man. I will mostly likely stay married to my current partner for the next few years, until our youngest is 18.

If you're still here reading this after my opening statement, I'll explain my situation. My wife and I realized almost two years ago that we were no longer in love with each other. What could have been a sad situation turned to relief when we both realized we felt the same. Since we were and are very good friends, we came up with a long term plan that would see us as non-romantic roommate's long term until our youngest child was 18, as we want all of our children to grow up in the same house. At first I didn't know how it would go as you don't often hear of this scenario working out well, but almost two years later I must say it is a great situation. My wife and I are completely romantically separated (both physically and emotionally)and still co-parent strongly. We have our own beds, rooms, hobbies and lives and we remain strong platonic friends.

I just turned 40 and am now trying to set the foundation for the next chapter of my life. I am a happy and well adjusted guy, and If I never met anyone else for the rest of my life I would still consider it a life well lived, however ... having someone to share the moments with along the way is ideal. And that's why I'm here!

Who I am looking for

First and foremost, you must be emotionally mature enough to handle the situation. Someone who is going through the same things would make the most sense, but I am open to anyone who understands that sometime life hands you untraditional situations.

Other than that, I don't really have a type. I don't have any physical hang-ups on what I'm looking for in a partner and am open to race, age and physical appearance.

Most of my favorite places in MN are city or state parks. I spend a lot of time hiking and trail walking.
