Fun Fact: I discovered while looking into my Ancestry; The House of Lancaster, actually bestowed a Knighthood to my 17th-Great-Grandfather and I discovered that my relative provided military assistance and leadership during battles such as the Battle of Bosworth in 1485: )

After swearing allegiance to King Henry VII he was able to retain his titles and lands - earning him royal gratitude and lasting family prominence into King Henry VIII's line.
