About me

I grew up on a farm in a small community in South Eastern Saskatchewan. My father was Welsh and my mother was Ukrainian. We were raised Ukrainian except for our religion, we were raised my father’s, Anglican. I was the 3rd youngest of 11 children, one of my brothers passed away at a young age and another at the age of 32. There are 9 of us left. At the age of 10 my father became ill and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He was too sick to work so he had to sell the farm and we move to a small town. By this time there were only the 3 youngest of us left at home, myself 10, my brother Raymond 9 and my sister Marjorie 8. My mother worked to support the family and since I was the oldest I took care of my sick Dad, my brother and sister and the household. Life was hard having all that responsibility at such a young age. I loved my Dad and brother and sister very much and tried to take care of them the best I could. Many days when my Dad was too sick to leave alone I stayed home from school to take care of him. Consequently my grades suffered because of it. I also never had a childhood past the age of 10. I did this till I left home at the age of 17 and went to the city. Then my brother and sister took over my role. Even though life was hard for all of us I feel it helped to mold me into the kind, compassionate, giving, warm and loving person, I am today. I am grateful for each new day; I’m always happy and smiling. I love to laugh and have fun. There is still a child within me and sometimes silliness about me. Yet, when the need be I can be serious and when the chips are down or in crisis I am a tower of strength.
I presently reside in an apartment in Winnipeg, Lowa US.

I am looking for an caring woman who has her act together. I am financially secure. I believe in love and looking for someone who is not afraid of the intensity love can bring when it is right. Born romantics definitely have the advantage. Honesty is a must.
